The outfit features Zimmer on drums, Pelt on trumpet, Avi Rothbard on guitar and David Wong on bass. Pelt won a Rising Star Trumpet award in this year's DownBeat Critics Poll.
Tour dates are as follows:
Friday, Sept. 7 -- Pete Zimmer drum clinic, Mom’s Music, Louisville, Ky.
Friday, Sept. 7, 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. -- The Jazz Factory, Louisville, Ky.
Saturday, Sept. 8, 9:30 p.m. -- The Jazz Estate, Milwaukee, Wis.
Tuesday, Sept. 11 -- Clinic, Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind.
Thursday, Sept. 13, 7:30 p.m. -- Botanica, Wichita, Kan.
A solo concert by saxophonist Joshua Redman will close the first night of the Hyde Park Jazz Festival on Sept. 26.
